Formerly the Boston Garden... home to NBA's Boston Celtics and NHL's Bruins.
Challenge: In 2006 the Wide-Lite AE2 was chosen to replace a lighting system that no longer met the needs of this world famous venue. Dependable illumination meeting the strict NBA requirements was a major consideration in the retrofit, along with dramatic theatrical effects and energy savings.
Solution: The new installation is a sophisticated customized system precisely controlled for dramatic effects. The layout adapts to meet NBA court dimensions and specs as well as NHL requirements. The punch of the AE2 from mounting heights of 120' provides 125 fc of vertical illumination on the floor.
Value: The Wide-Lite AE2 solution and patented optics meet the stringent lighting requirements with 24 less fixtures than the closest competitor's product, providing installation savings of $30,000+, with a savings of 24,000 watts of power every hour the facility is operated.
